This decision will remove the “Do Not Send Voice Recordings” option—a feature previously available to users who wanted to keep their voice data from being transmitted to Amazon’s servers. The change will first apply to U.S. English-speaking users and coincide with the rollout of Amazon’s new generative AI assistant, Alexa+.
